My company doesn't have anything in place for mental health, where do I start?
A good starting point is providing access to professional support when needed. Carecoins allows you to allocate coins from your total to your employees to help them access the help they need.
Of course prevention is always better than cure, so you could also use some of your Carecoins to train up some mental health first aiders, or do some mental health awareness training.

How many Carecoins should I be purchasing?
We recommend that as a starting purchase small companies of up to 50 employees should be looking to purchase 30 Carecoins to start with. Medium businesses of up to 250 employees should look at 75 Carecoins to start with, and larger organisations over 250 employees start with 150 Carecoins.
And remember you can top up as and when you need to, so if you find you'd like to do more, it's a simple thing to top up your balance.
What if I purchase Carecoins and they don't get used?
We sometimes find that companies will purchase a larger amount of Carecoins than they actually need, often because they're used to spending a large amount with a traditional EAP, only to find their actual spend is lower because they're not paying for non-usage. So what do you do then?
Well Carecoins are valid for 2 years from the date of purchase, so if you haven't used them all in the first year, they can go towards providing support into the second year. You could also use any Carecoins remaining for training needs that will help the positive culture of mental health within your company.
How will my employees be able to access professional support?
Once you have your Carecoins purchased, there's a couple of ways you can provide support. Firstly you can donate the coins from your total directly to the employee to use for support, putting it in their hands. We can also manage your account for you, receiving referrals directly and then deducting the Carecoins as they're used - a great option if you wish to keep the service anonymous and confidential.
How will I know what has been used?
Your dashboard allows you to see when Carecoins have been purchased, who they've been allocated to and when, giving you complete visibility over their usage.
I want to support my employees, but I'm limited in the budget I can afford. What can I do?
Carecoins can be purchased by a company for it's employees, but you are also able to to share the cost with an employee, by using a cost matching system. This means that you agree to pay some of the cost of an employees support, and they pay the rest.
You have complete flexibility around this, so you could agree to pay for the first 5 sessions of someones support, then agree to pay half the cost for a further 5 sessions, and any after that can be self funded by an employee. This means you can still provide some level of support, even if budgets are tight.
